We recommend protecting the shoes with a protective spray before first use! This way they withstand moisture and dirt better. All water repellent sprays suitable for tex-membrane shoes also work for these shoes. Especially for children's shoes, we recommend Collonil's natural Protect & Care water repellent spray, which besides protection also cares for the leather.

💖 PLEASE NOTE THAT TEX-MEMBRANE SHOES ARE NOT THE SAME AS RUBBER BOOTS! 💖 Tex-membrane shoes treated with water repellent spray keep water out well up to a certain limit. But when the shoes get soaking wet, the "effect" of the tex membrane between the upper and lining material may no longer be sufficient. When expecting a rainy day, puddle play, or generally prolonged exposure to wet conditions, it is best to wear definitely waterproof rubber boots.
